)-- Thieme, one of the world’s leading scientific, medical and academic publishers, is very pleased to announce an expansion of their partnership with the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA). SOMA has chosen "Atlas of Anatomy, Second Edition," by Anne M. Gilroy et al., as the main premium for new SOMA members for the 2014-2015 membership year.
SOMA’s new members will receive a copy of Thieme's "Atlas of Anatomy, Second Edition". In addition, Thieme will provide one year of free online access to all images from the Atlas on WinkingSkull.com. This will enable students to enhance their studies with on-line interactive learning tools based on content from the Atlas of Anatomy as well as over 400 USMLE-style review questions and answers from "Anatomy – An Essential Textbook," by Anne M. Gilroy.
"For the past 5 years, SOMA has been partnered with Thieme, and they have helped SOMA supply thousands of members with numerous educational materials. As SOMA and Thieme's relationship continues to grow, Thieme and the AOA have made it possible to provide new SOMA members with a text that will facilitate their education. Everyone here at SOMA is very excited about this opportunity, and we look forward to the future." -- Mary Mamut, OMS III, National Membership & Benefits Director for SOMA
"Thieme has the resources to meet osteopathic students’ individual learning styles and increasingly vigorous academic standards. We are excited to be working with SOMA and are fully committed to having a positive impact on the academic experiences of future osteopathic doctors via our broad range of educational products." -- Mike Roseman, Director of Sales for North America at Thieme
