)-- Live Light Live Right announced their partnership with bodySCULPT® of New York this summer for a 6-week Exercise and Nutrition Challenge. The program, designed for teenagers, will help to improve their overall fitness level. Certified fitness instructors, from bodySCULPT®of New York, will introduce various sports and exercise activities such as soccer, cardio kickboxing, hip-hop, track and field, yoga and volleyball. The program will be 3-days a week for six consecutive weeks, from 10:30am to 1:30 pm. The 6- week Exercise and Nutrition Challenge will be held in partnership with the existing CAMBA (www.camba.org) Beacon program located at the George Gershwin High School in Brooklyn, NY.
The Live Light Live Right and CAMBA Beacon partnership bring Fitness and Wellness programs to children struggling with obesity. The Live Light Live Right and bodySCULPT® trainers and coordinators will also be involved to monitor the progress of the teens enrolled in this exercise and nutrition challenge program with pre and post-test Fitness Assessment Test and Body Fat Analysis.

Live Light, Live Right (www.livelight.org) is a Brookdale Hospital and a community-based partnership, non-profit 501 (c) (3), serving overweight and obese children ages 2-19. Nearly half of the children in the program are those who live below the poverty line; suffer from a BMI >95th percentile or are at high risk of developing diabetes or other serious chronic diseases. By providing free or highly subsidized services, Live Light has already helped over 2,500 children improve their diet, exercise habits, and their health. The novel, multi-disciplinary approach has resulted in positive health outcomes, including the reduction of Body Mass Index scores, cholesterol, blood pressure, and insulin levels for nearly three-quarters of all participants.
