NC Association of Defense Attorneys Forms Paralegal Division

Raleigh, NC, October 25, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys is pleased to announce the formation of a Paralegal Division. Paralegals devoting a substantial amount of their professional time to the handling of litigation, primarily for the defense, government and/or business are invited to join. To be eligible, a paralegal must work under the supervision of a lawyer member of the NCADA and must be certified by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Paralegal Certification.

Michelle May, a certified Paralegal with the Charlotte law firm of Morris York Williams Barringer Lewis & Briggs, LLP, was instrumental in forming the NCADA’s Paralegal Division. May’s recommendation stated that by forming the Division, the NCADA would provide networking and educational opportunities not currently available. May will serve as the first division chair and as an ex-officio member of NCADA’s Board of Directors.

The North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys brings together civil trial attorneys to promote the exchange of information, ideas, and litigation techniques, and to strengthen the practice, improve the skills, and enhance the knowledge of lawyers and paralegals defending individuals and businesses in North Carolina.
