OpenTravel Alliance Announces Its 2014 Advisory Forum Conference to be Held September 22-23

The not-for-profit trade organization will hold its 2014 Advisory Forum at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.

San Francisco, CA, August 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The OpenTravel Alliance announces its 2014 Advisory Forum Conference will be held September 22-23 at the The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. This annual event provides a venue for lively discussion on the latest travel technology trends. The event is open to both OpenTravel members and non members. Industry leaders from Aer Lingus, Marriott International, InterContinental Hotels, Best Western International, Avis Budget, Hertz, Datalex, OpenJaw Technologies and many others will provide their perspective on key technology challenges and solutions. Agenda topics include travel distribution, leading with a mobile first strategy, customer experience and the role of technology, and start-up successes and lessons learned. Additionally, OpenTravel will provide an organizational update on member initiated projects including the latest on the development of its OpenTravel 2.0 Model.

OpenTravel will also honor member leaders who have provided outstanding service over the past year with the announcement of its 2014 Tom Grubbs Award and the Setting the Standard Award during the Advisory Forum. Tom Grubbs was a founding father and instrumental participant in OpenTravel and each year the organization recognizes the individual that most embodies Tom’s spirit and innovation. The Setting the Standard Award is a peer nominated award recognizing an individual’s outstanding contributions to the OpenTravel specification.
