Wellington Chiropractor Partners with Charity to Provide Health Care for Under-Served

A local Palm Beach County chiropractor has organized a group of doctors from the Florida Chiropractic Society to donate basic chiropractic services to local charity for women.

West Palm Beach, FL, August 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Jonathan Chung of Keystone Chiropractic in Wellington has recently formed a community partnership with Burckle Place to provide free chiropractic services for their residents. Dr. Chung and a group of chiropractors from the Florida Chiropractic Society have volunteered to provide these basic chiropractic services to the underserved and homeless community in Palm Beach County.

Burckle Place is a part of The Lord’s Place. The Lord’s Place is a non-profit, charitable organization that is focused on breaking the cycle of homelessness. The organization provides supportive housing and job training to transition people from homelessness to being an engaged and productive member of the community. Their housing includes a Men’s Campus, a Family Campus, and the Burckle Place for women. Their programs have housed hundreds of people each year and helped transition up to 85% of their residents into independent living. The chiropractors will be donating their time at the Burckle Place for women transitional housing program.

“Since Dr. Chung and his associates have joined the Burckle Place family the women has shared how much better they feel. There is a renewed energy after they leave and the women are always anxious for their return. For so many, this is a new introduction of Chiropractic treatment and other Eastern methods of health. They are thrilled that such community members as Dr. Chung and his fellow Chiropractors are so caring and generous with their healing hands,” Program Supervisor, Val Santiago Stanley stated.

“I first learned about Burckle Place as a member of the Wellington Rotary Club. I’m thrilled to be able to partner with such an incredible organization that is truly making a difference for Palm Beach County,” owner Dr. Jonathan Chung said. “Many doctors are doing mission trips overseas, when the truth is that we have more than enough people to serve in our own backyards. I’m just happy that we have such great chiropractors in the Florida Chiropractic Society who are willing to donate their time and skills to helping the underserved people who cannot afford access to health care. Health challenges can be a true obstacle that prevents people from getting back on their feet, and we want to make sure that we can break that cycle with the help of the Lord’s Place.”
