Home Buyers Helping Homeless

McKinney, TX, September 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Clients of Step Up Realty are doing more than finding their next home, they’re helping people experiencing homelessness find homes too. Step Up Realty’s Co-owners, Matt Hilton and Audrey Reed, have taken the concept of professional, dedicated real estate service and added a charity element. With each home sale, Step Up Realty agents have committed to donating a portion of their commission to help those with urgent community needs. Within just four months, Step Up Realty has donated over $7,000 to The Samaritan Inn.

Hilton says, “Our goal is to help everyone find their dream home. Helping families without housing options to also find a home is a perfect fit with our values.” After hearing about the growth of family homelessness, Hilton said the agents wanted to designate their gifts to the Capital Campaign of The Samaritan Inn, which is building a new, state-of-the-art family shelter.

Lynne Sipiora, Executive Director of The Samaritan Inn, smiles at the irony of a home buyer or seller helping people who have no home. “These housing professionals have a tender and generous heart to those without any. When businesses like Step Up Realty, step up to help the community, we are all strengthened!”
