Demibooks Releases Demibooks® Composer 1.2, a Free Version of Its Professional Book and Game App Authoring Software Platform

Chicago, IL, September 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The company that created the 1st tablet-based platform for authoring and publishing interactive book and game apps is re-launching Demibooks Composer, a free version of its Demibooks® Composer Pro, just in time for the start of the 2014 school year.

Schools use Composer for digital storytelling, introducing app and game development, as well as teaching students coding basics. It is also perfect for interactive lessons, presentations, tutorials and even design prototypes.

“This app continues the age-old tradition of storytelling and does so in 21st century style, all while fostering creativity!” says the review site Teachers with Apps.

“Composer provided a medium for me to transform my idea for an Air Hockey game into a real iPad application... I was so impressed by the app's performance and the team's support that I am currently working with my high school to integrate Demibooks into the curriculum of several classes,” said Ezzy Sriram, Langley High School.

Demibooks® Composer 1.2 limits media types to images, audio and text. Demibooks has also integrated Pixuru for easy printing of images to framed pictures, t-shirts and other items as gifts. The free Composer app maintains the same versatile, easy-to-use quality as the Pro version. No prior coding knowledge is required, and everything can be done directly on the iPad.

"We're excited to support schools with a free, basic version of Composer, making it easy to try out the platform and join our Schools Program," said Rafiq Ahmed, Demibooks co-founder and CEO. "Teachers and students can produce rich, interactive content with the same tools used by independent storytellers, leading publishers, and schools around the world such as MIAD, Pratt Institute, Startup Middle School, and Parklands College."

Demibooks Composer 1.2 can be downloaded at http://bit.ly/getcomposer. Information on the Demibooks schools programs can be found at www.demibooks.com/schools. Finished projects can be shared with friends and family through Demibooks Share (http://bit.ly/DemibooksShare). Apps can also be published to the App Store or Demibooks Storytime using the Demibooks Printshop service (www.demibooks.com/publishing).
