Registration Open for Tourette Syndrome Awareness Walk in Arlington, Virginia October 25 2014

Registration is open for the first Washington DC area Tourette Syndrome 5K Awareness Walk to be held at Bluemont Park in Arlington, Virginia on Saturday, October 25, 2014. The Walk will begin at 10am at Bluemont Park and will be followed by lunch and activities for the kids sponsored by the Tourette Syndrome Association of Greater Washington. The public is invited to participate in the Walk and can register or donate to support the event at www.tsagw.org.

Tourette Syndrome (TS) is a neurobiological condition that affects 1 in 100 persons and is characterized by involuntary physical movements and vocalizations called tics. Funds raised by the Walk will support both programs and services to help those living with Tourette Syndrome in Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC, as well as research for a cure and better treatments.

Founded in 1972, the Tourette Syndrome Association is the only national voluntary non-profit membership organization in this field.
