The PBTF and "Show Us Your Gold" for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Asheville, NC, September 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- This month an estimated 379 children and adolescents will be diagnosed with a brain tumor. Anyone can raise awareness about childhood cancer during September by joining the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's "Show Us Your Gold" campaign.

It's as easy as asking family members, neighbors, coworkers and classmates to pose for a photo or make a video while wearing gold, the signature color of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Anyone can share pictures and video with the PBTF, and they will be posted on the PBTF social media sites during September.

Email them to: kallison@curethekids.org

Be sure to follow the PBTF on Facebook and Twitter to see updates from others who are showing their gold. Anyone can copy the "Show Us Your Gold" graphic to use as their social media profile picture this month, too. Please tag the PBTF in any posts with the hashtag #showusyourgold.

Brain tumors are one of the deadliest forms of childhood cancer. The more we talk about this devastating disease, the more funds we'll raise for research and family support programs and the closer we'll get to a cure. Together we can make a difference in the lives of children, today and tomorrow.
