Laugh for a Cause Local Comedy Competition Heats Up

On Monday September 8th at 6:30 pm finalists of the Laugh for a Cause local comedy competition will perform in a semifinals round before celebrity Judges Eddie Brill formerly of the Dave Letterman Late Shaw and local Judges: Allan Hendricks, Jeff Perlman and Steven Michael.

Laugh for a Cause, a Fundraising event benefiting The GBDC Entrepreneurship Institute has combined a local comedy competition and VIP gala to raise funds and awareness for the benefits of youth entrepreneurship. On Monday September 8th at 6:30 pm finalists of the Laugh for a Cause local comedy competition will perform in a semifinals round before celebrity Judges Eddie Brill formerly of the Dave Letterman Late Shaw and local Judges: Allan Hendricks, Jeff Perlman and Steven Michael.

The Semi Finalists will perform seven minutes of family friendly material in front of judges at Crane’s Beachhouse Hotel and Tiki Bar located at 82 Gleason Street Delray Beach, http://www.cranesbeachhouse.com . “We are proud to host this event because it supports the development of our future leaders,” said Cathy Balestriere, General manager of Crane’s Beachhouse Hotel. “GBDCI has developed programs such as the Kid-prener camp to develop the entrepreneurial spirit in children as young as nine years old, we recognize that market globalization demands a new set of skills and were are determined to prepare the younger generation,” said Annette Gray founder of the organization.

Finalist will be invited to perform at the Laugh for a Cause Fundraiser On October 17th at the Wick Theater in Boca Raton. The winner will be selected in “Apollo” style comedy gala and Crowned South Florida Comic of the Year.
