Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES Announces New Logo, Tagline

Angola, NY, September 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Board of Cooperative Educational Services (E2CCB) today announced it has updated its logo and tagline to illustrate the organization’s full range of education services. As part of an ongoing rebranding effort, this new logo and tagline, the first of its kind for E2CCB since 1987, will be incorporated into its website, fleet vehicles, building signage, and more.

“For the past year, our leadership team and Board of Education members have been focusing with our public relations specialists on our communication strategies, and how to best reach our audiences both internally and externally,” said Dr. David O’Rourke, District Superintendent and CEO for Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES. “Real Life Learning is an apt and powerful description who we are and what we do at BOCES.”

Initial rebranding efforts include:

Education efforts to promote understanding of BOCES programs and services
· Increasing the visibility of the work of BOCES in the region
· Updates to the E2CCB website
· New fleet vehicle decals
· New employee identification (security badges)

The Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus (E2CC) BOCES is one of 37 BOCES in New York State and represents all the school districts in Chautauqua County, southern Erie County, and part of Cattaraugus County, a geographical area of 1,791 square miles.

It is a significant public sector employer of 600 employees, yet it has no taxing authority. During the 2013-2014 school year, E2CCB provided $72 million in purchased services to its 27 component school districts, to their students, and to adult learners. It is governed by a 13-member Board of Education elected by its 27 component boards of education.

“We determined that while the Western New York and Southern Tier communities identify us as a resource for students in non-traditional school settings, our wide variety of services are used every day to make us a leading educational partner with our component districts,” said Dr. O’Rourke.

Services offered by Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Board of Cooperative Educational Services include Adult & Community Education, Special Education, Alternative Education, Career & Technical Education, Instructional Support Services, Technology Services, Management Services, Labor Relations Legal Services, and many others.

“This rebranding initiative is not merely updating our logo and adding a new tagline for our BOCES,” added O’Rourke. “It’s a new way of thinking about our businesses and audiences - to providing the best programs and services to our schools, their students, faculty, staff, administration, and boards of education. We have much more coming in the following months, and we are excited to start this year as a partner in Real Life Learning with our component districts.”
