Chicago, IL, September 12, 2014 --(PR.com)-- As a part of their Seed Chicago program, Nature's Little Recyclers, the Urban Vermiculture pioneers operating in Chicago's “Back of the Yards” neighborhood, are going to be hosting “An Evening With The Worms” on Thursday, October 9th, 2014, from 5-8pm at their facility at 1111 W. 48th Street.

The event will not only be a chance to learn about earthworms, but a celebration of all things “green” in Chicago. Partnering with numerous urban farms and green sustainable businesses, the evening will feature locally grown food and beverage items, as well as a meet-and-greet with several of these producers.

Keynoting the evening's program is Roger Sosa, Business Development lead of the Back of the Yards Council, who has been instrumental in developing green tech businesses in the area, and acting as the primary coordinator between these start-ups and various City departments. Sosa's presentation on the “Green Business of the Back of Yards” will take a look at developments over the past couple of years, and exciting new plans – such as “The District” - which are coming to Chicago's south side.

Tickets for this event are available through Nature's Little Recyclers' Seed Chicago Kickstarter program – which closes on September 17th – as a premium for a $50.00 donation.
