Inaugural Community Server Developers Conference Draws Over 100 Developers from Around the World

Over 100 Community Server developers gathered for the first ever Telligent Community Server Developers Conference. Developers from around the world gained insights on Community Server 2007 and heard exciting news about next year’s release of Community Server 2008 along with two new products from Telligent; Graffiti CMStm and Reporting Servertm.

Dallas, TX, October 30, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Dallas-based Telligent Systems Inc. hosted its first-annual Community Server Developers Conference October 19–21 at the Stonebriar Country Club where more than a hundred Community Server licensees, developers and enthusiasts from around the globe gathered to hear and participate in presentations on Telligent’s flagship product, Community Server, as well as on new Telligent products due to release later this year and in 2008.

“We’re thrilled with the success of our first conference and have already starting planning next year’s conference,” stated Telligent CEO Rob Howard. “It was clear there is a lot of interest from our customers and partners in this type of event.”

Released in 2004, Telligent Community Server is a leading online community and social networking platform built to help organizations implement full-featured online social networking and community solutions for their businesses.

Howard and Telligent Vice President of Product Development Scott Watermasysk also devoted time during the conference to presenting the new features of Community Server 2008, due out late first quarter 2008. Key features in this version include a new Groups module, a Messaging system, and a Web Services layer.

“What excites me most about Community Server 2008 is not an individual feature,” states Watermasysk. “It’s the combination of all the new features, which will allow our users to build stronger, more dynamic communities. We have already seen our customers do great things with previous versions, but with the release of CS 2008, the possibilities really are infinite.”

The conference agenda also included presentations on two of Telligent’s most anticipated products scheduled to release before the end of this year, Graffiti CMStm and Telligent Reporting Servertm.

Graffiti is Telligent’s new content management system built from the ground up to address the needs of small-to-midsize organizations that require CMS functions and straightforward single-user blogging tools.

“Graffiti is an extremely easy-to-use content management system that allows anyone to build a beautiful web presence and easily publish content,” reports Watermasysk.

Telligent Reporting Server consists of a suite of report templates used to mine user data collected on Community Server sites.

“Our tools help people start conversations. Reporting Server helps our customers data mine and prove the return on investment in their community solution.” states Jason Alexander, Telligent CTO “Reporting Server is also its own product and will provide customers with a simple and precise framework for building reports quickly.”

Graffiti CMS and Telligent Reporting Server will both be available late Q4 2007.
