Beach Terrace Care Center Celebrates National Preparedness Month

Beach Terrace Care Center is proud to promote home and community safety awareness during National Preparedness Month.

Long Beach, NY, September 25, 2014 --( Every September, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), a branch of the Department of Homeland Security, sponsors National Preparedness Month. National Preparedness Month is designed to encourage Americans to take the necessary measures to anticipate and prepare for emergencies in their homes and communities. FEMA aims to help Americans know how to respond to dangerous situations such as terrorism, hurricanes, and chemical threats. Throughout September, many organizations will prepare seminars, exhibits, and pamphlets to help educate people on how to ready themselves for possible emergency
