Reconstructive Orthopedics Adds Three New Surgeons to Their Team; Dr. Joseph Dwyer, Dr. Ghadeers Alami, and Dr. Jeremy Reid

Marlton, NJ, September 28, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Reconstructive Orthopedics has recently added three new surgeons to their team of distinguished doctors; Dr. Joseph Dwyer, Dr. Ghadeer Alami, and Dr. Jeremy Reid. Dr. Dwyer specializes in the surgical treatment of hands and wrists while Dr. Alami’s focus is foot and ankle surgery. The final addition to the team, Dr. Jeremy Reid, specializes in total joint reconstruction- specifically knee and hip replacements.

Dr. Joseph Dwyer, a Medford, NJ native, completed his Post Baccalaureate Degree, Medical School, and Orthopedic Surgery Residency Training at Temple University where he developed a special interest and expertise in fracture care, especially those in the hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, clavicle, hip, femur, tibia, and ankle. Upon the completion of his residency, Dr. Dwyer then went on to complete his Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Surgery Fellowship at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. Dr. Dwyer also specializes in the treatment of nerve compression such as Carpal Tunnel and Cubital Syndrome, management tendon pathology such as Trigger Finger, treatment of degenerative arthritis of the hand and wrist, and traumatic injuries, including management of fractures and nerve or tendon injuries.

In addition to being an active member of the American Academy of the Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Dwyer has written several peer -reviewed journal articles in hand and wrist surgery and presented at multiple national meetings including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand Annual Meeting.

Dr. Ghadeer Alami comes to Reconstructive Orthopedics with expertise in Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Alami completed Medical School at William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois. She then went on to Inspira Health Network in Vineland, NJ where she completed her Residency in Chief Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Alami’s surgical specializations are in forefoot and rear foot surgery, ankle arthroscopy, digital deformities and tendon pathology. She is also a published author of several Podiatric Journal Articles, was the Chief Resident at Inspira Health Network, and was the poster presenter at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Scientific Seminar.

Dr. Jeremy Reid grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Princeton University with highest honors and went on to the University of Pennsylvania to pursue research in microbiology and received his medical education at Columbia University. His residency training in Orthopaedic surgery was completed at the UCLA Medical Center and Orthopedic Hospital in Los Angeles, California followed by an additional year as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow supported by a grant from the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Reid then achieved his surgical fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, New York.

Dr. Reid specializes in "quad-sparing" total knee and partial knee replacement, computer-assisted total hip and knee replacement, and both the direct anterior approach and mini-posterior approach for total hip replacement. His expertise includes complex joint reconstruction, revision joint replacement, and fracture surgery.

Dr. Reid has presented original research nationally and internationally, authored several peer-reviewed publications, and has been awarded distinctions as an Emerging Leader by the American Orthopedic Association and by the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation. He is Board-Eligible, as well as a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
