Baton Rouge, LA, October 01, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Price LeBlanc Automotive Group is a proud sponsor of two events raising funds to diagnose and fight breast cancer in the community. On Monday, October 6, female golfers will take a swing against breast cancer at the Woman’s Victory Open golf tournament at the Country Club of Louisiana. On Sunday, October 12, the BUST Breast Cancer bra art fashion show will be held at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel. Both events benefit Woman’s Hospital’s breast cancer outreach, including its Mobile Mammography Coach.
Woman’s Hospital believes early detection is key in winning the fight against breast cancer. Over 93% of breast cancer cases can be cured with early detection and prompt treatment. Funds from Woman’s Victory Open golf tournament and BUST Breast Cancer bring necessary mammograms to the underserved and uninsured population.
In 2013, Woman’s Mobile Mammography Coach provided screenings for more than 5,300 women at 76 locations in a 15-parish area. The coach traveled approximately 14,000 miles, making 237 trips last year. At least 50 percent of the patients using their program have no insurance.
With over 100 female employees, Price LeBlanc Automotive Group believes breast cancer diagnosis and treatment is an important cause to fund. The dealerships have been a part of the Woman’s Victory Open Golf Tournament for two years. They are sponsoring the sixth hole of the tournament. Anyone who scores a hole-in-one on the sixth hole is awarded a three year lease on a 2015 Lexus IS 250.
The tournament also features a raffle with a grand prize of $5,000. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $50, and only 300 will be sold. Full event details can be found online at http://www.womans.org/wvo.
