Accretive Health President to Moderate U.S. News Hospital of Tomorrow Summit Panel Discussion

Chicago, IL, October 03, 2014 --( Today’s hospital leaders are struggling to improve clinical outcomes and service quality while trying to control the rising costs of healthcare. That is just one of the many topics scheduled for discussion at the October 6-8, U.S. News & World Report Hospital of Tomorrow summit at the Washington Hilton, in Washington, D.C. Accretive Health president and chief executive officer Emad Rizk, M.D., will moderate a panel discussion at the event that addresses healthcare services’ evolving reimbursement issues, titled: “Straddling Multiple Complex Worlds of Reimbursement: Volume and Value.”

“Reimbursement for healthcare services will become significantly more complex…fee-for-service, pay for performance, bundles, episodes, gainsharing and multiple outcome-based payments,” said Dr. Rizk. “Our panel of hospital executives will address their experiences of balancing these multiple worlds. We expect the discussion to be beneficial for the healthcare leaders in attendance. The registrants of this conference are looking to share insights, learn from each other’s best practices and collaborate on solutions.”

Scheduled to participate on the panel with Dr. Rizk are Sandra L. Fenwick, president and chief executive officer, Boston Children's Hospital, Bob Pendleton, M.D., chief medical quality officer at the University of Utah Health Care in Salt Lake City, and J. Knox Singleton, chief executive officer at Inova Health System, based in Falls Church, Va.

Accretive Health is proud to be a contributing sponsor of this year’s national forum, which draws leaders from hospitals and health systems across the country. The summit will examine the burning issues that confront today’s hospital C-Suite – from a shifting patient population and transformed regulatory environment to rapidly advancing technological innovation and soaring costs – and the pioneering best practices that are emerging in response.

As an exhibitor of booth #504, Accretive Health will feature its comprehensive set of solution offerings including end-to-end revenue cycle management.
