Willardson & O'Toole Represent NCADA at National Level

Two NCADA past presidents take over leadership roles at DRI, the national civil defense trial bar.

Cary, NC, November 02, 2007 --(PR.com)-- John S. Willardson and Leslie C. O’Toole were inducted in leadership positions at the DRI Annual Meeting held in Washington, D.C. in October. Willardson begins a three-year term on the DRI Board of Directors as the Regional Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region of DRI. O’Toole succeeds Willardson as the DRI State Representative also for a three-year term.

John Willardson, of the Wilkesboro firm of Willardson Lipscomb & Miller LLP, won a contested election for the DRI’s Mid-Atlantic States Regional Director. The Mid-Atlantic States Region of DRI consists of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Upon his election, Willardson commented that “I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve on the DRI Board of Directors and am grateful for the support from my friends in the NCADA and throughout the Mid-Atlantic States Region. I will work to strengthen the bond between DRI and the state and local defense organizations in the region and look forward to this opportunity to be of service.”

Willardson served as President of the NCADA in 2000-2001. In 2004, he began a three-year term as DRI’s State Representative from North Carolina.

Leslie O’Toole of Ellis & Winters in Raleigh, N.C., is immediate Past President of the NCADA. O’Toole was elected by the NCADA’s Board of Directors to serve as the DRI State Representative and will hold an ex-officio seat on the Board of Directors.
