Blackout in Retrospect
For the past three years, UP ACES had been organizing Blackout, which is a sem-starter affair for students to de-stress before the dreaded start of the semester. Proceeds for Blackout 2013 were able to benefit a few charities and/or foundations including Camp Pag-ibig, House of Refuge Foundation, Inc. and Reception and Study Center for Children. As part of the campaign, beneficiaries are usually selected every year to extend help to organizations with charitable purposes.

Lamido Philippines for charities
Blackout’s much-awaited event every year for students from UP Diliman came in a timely manner as Lamido Philippines are currently looking to sponsor charities to sell their items for free for fund raising purposes. Lamido is a major sponsor in the event and at the same time will be promoting the event for more online visibility. This too is a way to let online users of the buy and sell platform know that the event will need much support for the benefit of Good Food Community.
To date, Lamido Philippines is currently gathering interested charities and foundations to sell their products online to raise cash for their charity works and sponsorships. The company will be shouldering pick up and delivery to raise funds and increase awareness that there are charities out there who will definitely need help for fundraising during the Christmas season.
Lamido Philippines is a buy and sell platform that provides merchants and consumers an online marketplace where they can conduct easy and safe transactions. Advertising in Lamido is free and sellers can post their products either by fixed, discounted or auctioned prices. Lamido Philippines embodies in it the very same culture that made Rocket Internet one of the biggest names in the online marketing business.
