North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association to Host Exhibit at N.C. State Fair

Statewide Veterinarians Association Showcases the Veterinary Medical Profession at Annual State Fair

Raleigh, NC, October 19, 2014 --( The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA) will host an exhibit at the N.C. State Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct. 26 at the fair’s Exposition Center. NCVMA members will engage fair attendees by answering general pet care questions and will have literature available on topics related to pets and various veterinary medicine specialties. The exhibit will also feature animal skeletons, videos and quizzes so attendees can test their animal knowledge and learn the science behind their favorite pets. The 147th N.C. State Fair will take place at the N.C. State Fairgrounds, located at 1025 Blue Ridge Road. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit

“The State Fair welcomes people from across North Carolina, and as a statewide association, we have the opportunity to reach out and engage the public on a variety of topics related to responsible pet care and the veterinary profession,” said Claire Holley, executive director of the NCVMA. “We are longtime participants and our members are thrilled to interact with pet owners, animal lovers and answer any questions from those who may have interest in being veterinarians. Educating the public about the importance of animal care is our top priority and we hope that our exhibit will help us do just that.”
