Hernon Manufacturing Engineers Highest Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive on the Market

Fusionbond excels in bonding various hard-to-bond substrates and offers superior sheer strength.

Sanford, FL, October 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Hernon Manufacturing, the innovator in adhesives, sealants and dispensing equipment announces the debut of Fusionbond 372, the toughest structural adhesive on the market.

“The impact strength of Fusionbond 372 is outstanding – it’s the toughest structural adhesive on the planet,” said Harry Arnon, President of Hernon Manufacturing. “It’s stronger than steel.”

Fusionbond is a highly thixotropic two-component, room temperature cure methacrylate adhesive system that is specially formulated to bond many diverse substrates and offer unparalleled chemical resistance. It is also resistant to fatigue and impact and maintains the ability to fill gaps.

Fusionbond also offers shear strength not found in other adhesives. In impact tests, Fusionbond 372 successfully withstood 50 Joules. Tests to ASTM D1002 have demonstrated shear strengths of over 5000 psi on abraded steel and up to 3660 psi on abraded aluminum. ASTM D4501 standard tests have show strengths up to 1340 psi on epoxyglass. In the same testing standard PVC failed before Fusionbond at 2520 psi.

Fusionbond excels in bonding various hard-to-bond substrates including phenolics, polycarbonate and blends, polyurethanes, ABS, and PVC. It can also be used to bond other substrates, some of which include steel, stainless steel, styrenics, and titanium.
