Lake Mary, FL, October 22, 2014 --(PR.com
)-- Ronald Eiger, a J.P. Turner financial advisor, will be working with local businesses to organize a local canned food drive this November.
Ronald’s office will be collecting canned food for the entire month of November. All items received during the food drive will be donated to local food bank, Second Hand Harvest. Only 2.4% of Second Hand Harvest’s food comes from canned food drives and 56.9% of their stored food goes to emergency pantries. Second Hand Harvest’s mission is to create hope and nourish lives through a powerful hunger relief network, while multiplying the generosity of a caring community.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores and distributes donated food to more than 550 feeding partners in six Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia. Last year, Second Hand Hardest distributed over 39 million pounds of food. To learn more about how you can donate to this cause visit their website http://www.foodbankcentralflorida.org/.
Donations can be dropped off at 1525 International Parkway, Suite 4031, Lake Mary, FL 32746 from 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. during the month of November.
