Keller Williams Realtors Raise Funds to Fight Homelessness and Domestic Violence

Arlington, VA, November 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Keller Williams Realty of Arlington is working to raise $100,000 for Arlington non-profit organizations serving those facing homelessness and domestic violence. This year’s Seventh Annual Cocktail Reception and Fundraiser Bridging the Gap will benefit two valuable organizations, Doorways for Women and Families and A-SPAN. The Keller Williams Arlington real estate agents decided to support these organization so their clients do not experience a decline in services as a result of funding cuts.

Doorways for Women and Families is one of the primary resources for homeless families in Arlington. Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness among women, and as an extension, their children. Providing safe and clean temporary housing, and helping clients to obtain permanent housing are just two of the many services Doorways provides.

A-SPAN serves the single adult homeless population. After two decades of providing services to those on the street and winter shelter, A-SPAN is opening a year-round Homeless Services Center in Courthouse in 2015 that will house a 50-bed shelter program, a day program and medical respite program.

The KW Bridging the Gap fundraiser will be held at the Clarendon Ballroom, 3185 Wilson Blvd. on Thursday, November 6th from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The event features dinner by Bites, drinks, live music, awards, and a silent and live auction with 100 items. Angela Rose, Team Leader and CEO of Keller Williams Arlington and founder of PAVE, will be Master of Ceremony. Special guests include Jazz Vocalist Ayo Awosika, a Jazz Vocalist, and Sarah Fraser, the Host of the Sarah, Ty & Mel Radio Show.

Retiring Congressman, Jim Moran, will be honored with an award for his ongoing support of this fundraiser and of all the organization who have benefited from it. Koons Toyota of Arlington will also be recognized for their $20,000 donation to the 2014 fundraiser recipients.

The public is invited and can purchase tickets by going to the website https://www.biddingforgood.com. Tickets purchased in advance are $75 or $125 for two. Single tickets can also be purchased at the door for $85 or $150 for two. Auction items include seats to the premier of “Top Five” and a Meet and Greet with Chris Rock, Redskins and Capitals tickets, week at the beach in Hawaii, Barrel Oak Winery wine tasting, National Theatre and Signature Theater tickets, and much more.

Top sponsors are Koons Toyota Arlington, Universal Title, Orange Line Living, The Keri Shull Team, Shepard Fong Associates, Ann Wilson Homes, Movement Mortgage, and First Home Mortgage.
