The 6th Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress Comes to a Close

Over 2,000 Human Resource Managers, Agents, Brokers and other stakeholders gathered to learn, network and discuss the future of the insurance industry.

West Palm Beach, FL, November 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The 6th Annual Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress (EHBC) took place in Washington D.C. from September 20–24th. The four days of events was an opportunity for participants in the employee benefits industry to meet, network, learn and have fun in the nation’s capital. The event comprised of educational sessions, networking meetings, keynote speakers, various industry summits and a vibrant exhibit hall.

“We are incredibly pleased with this year’s conference,” said Jonathan Edelheit, CEO Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress. “It is great to see the conference improve and grow. This is, without a doubt, the best conference we have held. I am looking for to next year, which will no doubt be even better.”

Highlights of the event include the 2nd Annual Global Women’s Leadership Summit, which kicked off the conference. The summit was dedicated to the business of women’s health and insurance and will served as a platform to share ideas, opportunities and means to overcoming obstacles inherent in the delivery of care and benefits locally and abroad.

Other summits included the First Annual On-site Clinics in the Workplace Forum and Wearable Device Competition, Think Tank & Awards.

The conference also provided attendees the chance to learn the latest trends in various topics related to the insurance industry. The Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist (CHRS), Certified Healthcare Reform Professional (CHRP), Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist (CCWS), Certified Voluntary Benefits Specialist (CVBS), Self Insurance Certified Specialist (SICS) were all available to attendees so they could learn and advance their career.

Aside from these, two new certifications debuted at the event, the Certified Corporate Fitness Professional (CCFP) and the Certified Corporate Nutrition Professional designations. Making the transition to the business world for trainers and nutritionists can be difficult, but these programs taught how to make the change and create healthier workplaces.
