Realty Point Inc Releases Information for Social Media RECO Compliance Issues

Realty Point Inc releases a white paper for Real Estate Brokers in Ontario to help them navigate social media RECO compliance issues when creating a Facebook account.

Toronto, Canada, November 28, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Realty Point Inc releases a white paper educating real estate brokers in Ontario about the regulations concerning the use of social media when used as part of their real estate activities.

Facebook is the main topic discussed, including the proper use of Facebook as a promotional channel and how real estate agents are required to create a Facebook profile that uses a custom cover image photo that then complies with current regulations in Ontario.

“Many real estate brokers seem to be unaware of how social media, including Facebook, falls under the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) and the Real Estate And Business Brokers Act 2002 (REBBA 2002) as an avenue of business promotion that is regulated” says Robert Lee, Realty Point’s information manager.

Robert added, “To shine a light on this topic we’ve released a white paper that, in plain language and with step-by-step instructions, details what real estate brokers need to know when using Facebook, how to create a compliant Facebook profile including the required custom cover image photo and what best practices they should be aware of to make the most of their Facebook exposure.”

“Is Your Facebook Profile RECO and REBBA 2002 Compliant?” is released as a free download with no registration required and can be freely shared.
