Tournament Director Danny Seemiller Has High Hopes for Future of Butterfly Thanksgiving Teams Event

Wilson, NC, December 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The 2014 Butterfly Thanksgiving Teams event concluded without a hitch on Saturday evening. Participants, families and spectators, exhausted by their matches, were thankful for the shortened event timeline and ample time to travel home. Throughout the weekend, the tournament team received no complaints. The players greatly enjoyed the spectacular conditions at The Diggz of Northwest Indiana venue including grippy floors and ample lighting. Although the prowess of the top teams competing in very close matches attracted attention in the venue, the young Midwest junior teams stole the show. The youngest team, all under 10 years of age, “Mini Ninjas” (Michael Sun (769), Nandan Naresh (792), Brian Ngeunjuntr (449) and Samanyu Parvatheneni (573)) competed with great spirit, but could not pull out a win at this weekend’s event. Nevertheless, they stole the hearts of those who were in the hall, and inspired many senior competitors to keep up their game to try and stay ahead of the new wave of players from the Midwest.

Less than 24 hours after tournament director/coach/player Danny Seemiller and his team won the 2014 Butterfly Thanksgiving Team’s championship, the venue has been cleaned out and the teams have all returned home to resume their daily routines. However, tireless tournament director Danny Seemiller has already brainstormed many new ideas to increase participation and grow the event for future years. Next year, the Butterfly team’s event will be part of the 2015 Butterfly North American tour along with 5 other major events throughout the US, and will feature an even greater focus on the players and exceptional “player” service. A major goal for next year will be to increase participation and attract players who are dedicated to growing table tennis throughout the US.
