Crescent Ridge Dairy’s All-World Ice Cream

Sharon, Mass. Dairy selected as one of National Geographic’s top 10 ice creams.

Sharon, MA, November 08, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In its 75 years of existence, Crescent Ridge Dairy customers have often referred to the Dairy’s ice cream as “out of this world.” Yet according to the National Geographic’s “The 10 Best of Everything: An Ultimate Guide for Travelers,” the Sharon, Mass.-based dairy’s 31 flavors of ice cream are very much a part of this world, ranking it among the world’s 10 best.

Compiled by seasoned world travelers Andrew and Nathaniel Lande, the 480-page illustrated “10 Best of Everything” publication includes the world’s top 10 golf courses as ranked by Arnold Palmer, the top restaurants and hotels and even the “Ten Best Things To Do On A Sunday Afternoon” in the world’s top cities. In its ice cream category, Crescent Ridge Dairy ranks eighth in the world among ice creams from as far away as Paris, France (Berthillon at number 4), Cuba (Bim Bom and Coppella at numbers 5 and 6 respectively) and Florence, Italy (Vivoli Gelato at number 9) to right down the street in Hyde Park, Massachusetts (Ron’s Gourmet Ice Cream at number 3).

“At Crescent Ridge, we put a lot of thought and effort into our ice creams and that includes implementing some suggestions from our customers. You never dream that making the best ice creams you know how will warrant recognition by a publication as prestigious as The National Geographic. Obviously, it’s an absolute honor just to be considered, never mind included, among the world’s best ice creams,” said Mark Parrish, president and third generation of the Parrish family to run Crescent Ridge Dairy.
