Form I-9 Training for Notaries in Alabama
Representatives from USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) will conduct "Form I-9 Training for Notaries," on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 5:30 pm, at the Homewood Public Library. Notaries and Notary Signing Agents are encouraged to attend. Training will be presented via videoconference. Attendees can join the group at the library or connect remotely.
Notaries for Alabama Founder, Michelle Riley, explains, "When employers hire home-based or remote employees, they sometimes need assistance with the completion of New Hire paperwork. One such form is the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (Form I-9). Some employers tell the New Hire to locate a Notary, and that's when the problems start. Not every notary is familiar with Form I-9 requirements which can lead to errors being made and a lot of frustration for everyone. This training will provide Notaries with the information and know-how needed to successfully complete Form I-9.
Advance registration is required.
