Boneshaker Brewing Company Announces Expansion, Launch of Second Brand

The Black Vinyl Ale Project will produce exclusively Barrel-Aged and Sour beers.

Rocklin, CA, December 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday December 6, 2014, JJ Anderson, owner and founder of Boneshaker Brewing Company in Rocklin, CA announced the company’s expansion plans which includes leasing the former Beerman’s Brewery space in Lincoln, CA. The expansion will allow Boneshaker, which currently operates a 3.5 barrel brewery in its brewery / restaurant to increase capacity 500%. As part of the increased production, Anderson is launching the Black Vinyl Ale Project, a strictly barrel-aged and sour beer brewery combining his passion of music and artisan craft beers. Both the Boneshaker and Black Vinyl brands will have packaged product available once production begins and will be found in better beer bars, eateries and bottle shops in Northern California.

Adrian Barrera, most recently of Krebs/Choc/Prairie Ales, one of the top sour companies in the country, has been hired as the Head Brewer for the Black Vinyl Ale Project. Black Vinyl will house its tasting room and stage room adjacent to the Boneshaker Community Brewery location at 4810 Granite Drive, Suite A-1 in Rocklin, CA. The stage room has begun operations hosting live music on Saturday nights and the tasting room should be fully functional after the New Year.

Boneshaker Brewing Company was founded in 2011 and in October of that year, opened Boneshaker Public House, an award-winning craft beer bar and eatery also located in Rocklin. Boneshaker was one of the first Sacramento area craft beer establishments with 21 rotating taps featuring exclusively craft beer brewed locally, regionally and nationally. The success of the public house, allowed for Anderson to move forward with his dream of building his own brewery and in May 2014, the Boneshaker Community Brewery & Restaurant was opened. The award-winning facility was the Sacramento-region’s first brewpub (both restaurant and brewery) in seven years. However, the small system has not allowed for any packaged or kegged products for the local market and the opportunity to increase production stimulated Boneshaker to move aggressively to secure the Beermans’ space. Production in the Lincoln location will begin early in 2015. Updates can be found through the company’s website and Facebook page.
