Eastern Land Management (ELM) Supports “Giving Back” as Bronze Sponsor of the 2014 March of Dimes® Real Estate Awards Breakfast

Stamford, CT, December 15, 2014 --(PR.com)-- According to Blackbaud’s* 2013 Charitable Giving Report more than one-third (33.6%) of overall charitable giving happens in the last three months of the year, with the highest percentage (17.5%) coming in December. Understanding the importance and value of supporting the community and national non-profits, Eastern Land Management has stepped up once again by supporting Fairfield County’s 2014 March of Dimes® Real Estate Awards Breakfast as a Bronze Sponsor for the sixth consecutive year. This $3,000 donation aids in funding lush red poinsettias that adorn 80 tables at this annual “must attend” event for over 700 guests.

The 2014 Real Estate Awards Breakfast honors those outstanding individuals and/or companies whose commercial real estate activities have significantly enhanced the local community. The event has had enormous success in the last 18 years, raising $5.2 million for the March of Dimes®. With nearly 4,000 babies being born too soon in Connecticut, the March of Dimes® works to improve the health of babies and support families if something does go wrong.

“With a philanthropic-minded culture, ELM supports the communities that we serve through many local non-profit organizations. Our team was delighted to have the opportunity to kick off the holiday season by giving back to the March of Dimes®,” said Bruce T. Moore, Sr., President & CEO, ELM.

“We gratefully acknowledge and thank our sponsors for their support of this event that funds critical research and education to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature births and infant mortality. With an attendance of over 700 guests last year, this premier event for the real estate community has had enormous success in the last 18 years raising $5.2 million for the March of Dimes®,” said Ed Tonnessen, Chairman, 2014 Real Estate Awards.

The awards breakfast was held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at The Hilton in Stamford, CT. Stamford Hospital and The Cohen Children’s Institute (Stamford Hospital’s pediatric program) were recognized for their achievements on impacting the community.
