Industry Leaders Forecast Market Trends at SIIA Education Business Forum

Education technology executives discuss strategies to raise revenue and profitability in the digital learning market.

Washington, DC, December 20, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Education Division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, brought together education technology leaders for the 2014 Education Business Forum in New York City this month. The multi-national contingent included senior management teams from education software companies, platform technology firms, solution providers and distributors, publishers, financial analysts, private equity firms, and venture capitalists.

“This year’s Forum was filled with lively sessions and discussions about the bright future of the education technology market,” said Karen Billings, vice president of the SIIA Education Division. “We welcomed a record number of attendees this year, which is testament to the ever-increasing interest in our sector.”

New to the Forum this year, “Game-Changing Market Opportunity” sessions provided context, market information, and a guided discussion to help participants get up to speed on the most pressing education technology marketing trends. Session topics included “Trends in the Higher Ed Spaces,” “Leveraging Social Media to Stay Competitive,” and “Leveraging the Special Ed Market with Products You Already Have.”

“These new sessions were extremely well received, most had standing room only,” Billings said. “Participants appreciated the opportunity to engage in conversations, ask questions, and hear directly from experts in the field.”

The SIIA Education Division also named winners of its Innovation Incubator program during the Forum. Winners were honored during a special ceremony and chosen from more than 50 applicants by industry leaders and educators.
