)-- Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF) is pleased to announce the award of a grant from the Weingart Foundation. The grant will help support daily operating expenses over the next two years, making it possible for ECF to maintain a lifespan of services for children and adults with developmental, learning, and emotional disabilities.
“ECF is grateful for the support from The Weingart Foundation. This generous grant will allow us to continue to make a positive impact on the children and adults we serve so that they are able to gain greater independence and achieve their greatest potential,” said Scott Bowling, President and CEO of ECF.
Founded in 1951 by Ben and Stella Weingart, the Weingart Foundation is a private, nonprofit grantmaking foundation that provides grants and other support to improve the sustainability of nonprofit organizations. The Foundation gives highest priority to activities that provide greater access to people who are economically disadvantaged and underserved, specifically those that address the needs of low-income children and youth, older adults, and people affected by disabilities and homelessness.
