)-- Denver law firm Moye White llp announced that J. David Arkell has joined the firm as a partner, effective January 2. He will be a member of the firm’s Construction Group as well as its recently-formed Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Group.
Formerly a partner with Faegre Baker Daniels, Arkell is a prominent construction attorney who has been practicing Construction Law for more than 35 years. He has extensive experience helping construction clients successfully resolve disputes through litigation, arbitration and mediation, as well as drafting and negotiating construction-related contracts of all types.

Arkell advises owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and sureties on planning and dispute avoidance, as well as dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation. He drafts and negotiates construction contracts and other documents for both private and public construction projects. Arkell arbitrates and mediates construction disputes as a trained and experienced neutral decision maker or facilitator. Due to his extensive expertise in construction contracts and disputes, he has been appointed as a special master by a District Court Judge, and has been engaged as an expert witness in construction issues.
Arkell has been the recipient of numerous honors over the years, including Denver Best Lawyers Construction Lawyer of the Year, 2012. He has been honored multiple times for his achievements in Construction Law by The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers and Chambers USA.
Arkell is active in construction-related professional organizations, locally and nationally. Among past and current leadership positions, he is an active member of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Colorado Legal Advisory Committee, a past member of the AGC Board of Directions, Past President of both the AGC of Colorado Associate Council and Professionals for Colorado Construction Council.
Arkell is a member of the American Arbitration Association National Construction Industry Arbitration Panels for Regular and Large Complex Cases, as well as a member of the AAA’s Colorado Panel of Mediators.
