)-- Catalina Group releases an updated version of its popular Chromium-based browser - Citrio. In the new version (labeled 39.0.2171.248) it is now possible to add and remove files from an active torrent download. Additionally, each Citrio user gets a Premium account on a popular file-sharing service - 4shared.
The downloads library used in Citrio has been revised and updated, which will result in many new features coming to Citrio in the nearest feature. The first one of them is introduced in the current release and will provide significantly improved torrent management. From now one, users can remove files from the downloads list of active torrents. Likewise, if certain files were not selected for the download, they can be added back in a single click.
As a part of it’s cross-promotion campaign, 4shared gives a Premium account to every Citrio user. Premium accounts provide users with many additional features, such as expanding the storage space from 15GB to 100GB, SSL data encryption, direct download links for comfortable sharing, no advertisements, and more. The awarded Premium account requires no payments and has no time limitations, as long as you’re using the Citrio browser.
In order to claim the free Premium account, users will need to create an account on 4shared (or use an existing one) while browsing with Citrio, and convert the account on the Premium page. All Premium features will be available immediately.
Jack Fain, Citrio project leader says:
“The Download Manager in Citrio is a powerful, multifunctional tool and we’re planning to expand its functionality even further. With better torrent management users will receive more control over what and when they want to download. Exclude unnecessary big files from your torrent even after the download has started, or bring them back whenever you like.
"Citrio is becoming a specialized browser for downloads. With this in mind, I’m happy to announce the full cooperation of Citrio and 4shared. Having unlimited access to one of the largest file-sharing sites, Citrio users have the opportunity to experience the advantages of the both services."
Citrio is a new generation browser for Windows and Mac OS. Initially released in 2013, Citrio continues to gain popularity among users due to its broad functionality and effectiveness. Based on the Chromium open source project, Citrio browser has all the basic functionality of the Chrome platform complemented by a wide range of built-in add-ons: a download manager, proxy manager, torrent manager, etc. Citrio’s built-in malware and phishing protection provide complete security and safety of use.
