Mayor of Stamford, CT & Rep. Caroline Simmons to Attend United Jewish Federation: Super Sunday Fundraising Event February 1, 2015

United Jewish Federation’s Annual Super Sunday Event to take place February 1, 2015. To Attend: Honorable Mayor David Martin of Stamford & 144th District State Representative Caroline Simmons.

Stamford, CT, January 28, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On February 1, 2015 at 1pm, the Honorable Mayor David Martin and newly elected State Representative Caroline Simmons will join United Jewish Federation of Greater Stamford, New Canaan and Darien’s Super Sunday event at the Stamford JCC. This day of giving back raises hundreds of thousands of dollars to help people in need, here in Connecticut, Israel and throughout the world. According to Representative Simmons: "It is an honor to participate in Super Sunday with the United Jewish Federation of Greater Stamford. They provide vital services and are committed to making our community stronger and more united."

Super Sunday is a day for young and old, with wonderful programming for children, highlighting the virtue of giving back. A highlight of the day will be the Half Time Show, where UJF will show the winning entry of our Partner Agency Commercial Contest. The Not-For-Profit who garners the most votes will win a cash prize of $1800 (a list of entries and voting take place at www.facebook.com/stamfordfederation. The schedule is packed! While the adults are making phone calls raising money for people in need there is a full slate of family fun activities scheduled including:

· Music Together concert for young children
· PJ Library story time, crafts, songs
· Games
· KidZone: Obstacle Course
· Teen Calling room
· Half Time Show- Winner of the Commercial Contest will be announced
· Cheerleading Workshop
· Video Games room
· Obstacle course
· Crafts making to donate cards to sick children in the hospital and jewelry to the children of Afula Gilboa
· Carnival Games
· Family Yoga
