Access to capital remains a key challenge to starting and growing a business in Colorado Springs. Ensemble Ventures, LLC along with The Colorado Springs Entrepreneur Group is teaming with the Colorado Capital Congress PBC to help address and develop solutions to this challenge. The Colorado Capital Congress is working to improve the capital ecosystem in Colorado, operating as a Public Benefit membership organization.

Colorado Springs, CO, January 29, 2015 --(PR.com)-- For over 7 years, The Colorado Springs Entrepreneurs Group, (which is one of the oldest and largest non-profit Entrepreneurial Education Meetup’s in Colorado Springs with over 575 members) has assembled together a unique collection of local Entrepreneurs, Small Businesses, and Services participating in a monthly Meetup program to help each other grow their respective businesses. Sponsored and Supported by Ensemble Ventures, LLC, the CSE Group is actively building an "Entrepreneurial NemoSystem" to create the necessary support services and infrastructure to help nurture local small businesses and entrepreneurs to; "Find Inspiration, Find Innovation, Find Capital, Find Markets, Find Customers, and ultimately Find Fulfillment in both their professional and personal lives!"

The CSE Group is also developing a series of hands-on and grass-roots based "Venture Development Clusters" to assist in the process of growing new businesses and creating breakthrough products and services for our members in clusters of companies, investors, mentors, and service providers that transcends the traditional incubator or accelerator model.

The Colorado Capital Congress is working to improve the capital ecosystem in Colorado. A membership organization, the Colorado Capital Congress is structured as a public benefit corporation. It is working to improve the knowledge and skills of capital seekers, capital sources, transaction intermediaries and local communities. In addition, the Colorado Capital Congress is seeking to foster communications and build networks with all of the participants in the capital industry. Operations will support business, entrepreneur, innovation, civic, charitable and economic development organizations across the State of Colorado.

By teaming with the Colorado Capital Congress, the Colorado Springs Entrepreneur Group will gain for its members access to the public information and educational programs on raising capital and investing in innovation and entrepreneurs. The two organizations will work toward making Colorado Springs a Capital Community – an open source network of information and capital sources resulting in shorter times and lower costs in funding local businesses. Through evaluation of current capital needs and available capital, a strategic plan can be developed to fill funding gaps and improve the quality of small business offerings.

“Mike Schmidt of Ensemble Ventures, LLC has been a perennial supporter and advocate for small business in Colorado Springs and the State of Colorado. I look forward to joining forces in making more and better quality capital available to support the economy in Colorado Springs,” stated Karl Dakin, Director of the Colorado Capital Congress.

“I have known Karl Dakin for close to 8 years now, and have participated with him on a number of business-related initiatives and support programs, both with his consulting firm, and with other key local and state commercial and legislative activities, and I can say without a doubt there is no-one else in Colorado that is working as hard as he does to help close this significant start-up seed capital funding challenge we have in Colorado,” says Mike Schmidt, CEO of Ensemble Ventures, LLC, and the Chair of the Colorado Springs Entrepreneurs Group.
