Amy Langer Honored by Women Presidents’ Organization and Entrepreneur Magazine
Minneapolis, MN, November 13, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) and Entrepreneur Magazine have announced that Salo, LLC, led by Amy Langer, was named No. 1 out of the top 50 fastest-growing women-owned/women-led privately-owned businesses in the United States and Canada. Salo, LLC, a senior-level finance and accounting staffing firm, was included in the list of the Top 50 and Amy Langer was featured in an article in the November issue of Entrepreneur Magazine. She will be honored at a party for the top 50 on Monday, Dec. 3 in New York City.
Salo, which was launched in 2002, hit $9 million in sales after two years and had hit $32.1 million in sales by 2006. Sales for 2007 are projected to be over $40 million. Langer plans to expand the company into other niches within professional staffing. Salo has already opened two other companies under its umbrella: Oberon, which focuses on human resources placement, and Number Works, which focuses on junior-level accounting and finance staff.
The WPO is a nonprofit membership organization for a diverse group of women presidents who have guided their businesses to at least $2 million in gross annual sales or $1 million for a service-based business. With over 1,200 members and 75 chapters located across North America, the WPO has experienced rapid growth since its inception. Local WPO chapters are coordinated by a professional facilitator and meet monthly to share business expertise and experience in a confidential and collaborative setting. This year is the organization’s 10th anniversary.
