Cameron Village Spotlights Women’s Heart Health for February

Cameron Village embraces the prevention of the #1 women's health issue—heart disease—during the month of February. The community outreach project focuses on healthy, happy hearts and is presented in partnership with Cameron Village community sponsor, WakeMed.

Raleigh, NC, February 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Cameron Village embraces the prevention of the #1 women's health issue—heart disease—during the month of February. The community outreach project focuses on healthy, happy hearts and is presented in partnership with Cameron Village community sponsor, WakeMed. “Our goal is to highlight heart-healthy messaging and support for women’s health with a timely Valentine’s Day gift-with-purchase for our shoppers,” said Lynne Worth, Vice President, Retail Leasing & Property Management.

From February 1-14, 2015, Cameron Village offers the choice of one of three free gifts with purchases within the Village. In addition, customers will receive a WakeMed Healthy Heart Certificate, redeemable to schedule a free total and HDL cholesterol test and blood pressure check through WakeMed. The Merchants' Association and WakeMed will combine marketing efforts in print, TV, web and social media.

This year the gifts-with-purchase (totaling $250) are:

1) Bailey’s Fine Jewelry & Gifts, Trio of Lily and Laura Beaded Bracelets
2) Hayley’s Boutique, Asymmetrical Poncho assorted colors and styles
3) Parlor Blow Dry Bar, Signature Blowout; shampoo & style

On Friday, February 6th Cameron Village is GOING RED, participating in National Wear Red Day, a campaign of the American Heart Association. Participating merchants will turn store windows red in recognition of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. “This is a great chance to make a village-wide statement against heart disease,” said Pat Boyle, Marketing Director. “It also ties seamlessly into our Love Your Heart gift with purchase campaign (Feb. 1-14th). Store cards with healthy heart information will be available for all of our shoppers and you’ll see ground signs encouraging active walking around the Village, all starting February 1st.”

Merchant windows will be the unique creative expression of merchants, managers and staff at participating shops and will compete among merchants for prizes. Imaginative displays featuring red dresses, heart themes, Valentines and other resourceful, creative ideas featuring red fashion, heart health and imaginative displays of the many possible combinations will entertain and delight Village shoppers. Participating merchants will feature the American Heart Association “Go Red” square window decals.
