Exceptional Children's Foundation Receives Grant from Murad Family Foundation

Culver City, CA, February 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF) is pleased to announce the award of a grant from the Murad Family Foundation. This grant will provide support for a variety of enrichment programs for students with special needs at the ECF Kayne Eras School. Enrichment activities are fundamental to the school’s philosophy and include hands-on technology education, performing arts, visual art, business entrepreneurship, athletics, self-defense, and community service.

“ECF is grateful for the support from the Murad Family Foundation. This generous grant will allow us to make a positive impact on the students we serve and expand the enrichment opportunities available to them,” said Scott Bowling, President and CEO of ECF.

Dr. Howard Murad is a prominent Los Angeles physician who has treated more than 50,000 patients and developed the successful line of Murad skincare products. He is also an accomplished professional artist who believes in the transformative power of the arts. In July 2014, Dr. Murad visited the ECF Kayne Eras School and shared his passion for painting with the students of the Freshman Academy (9th graders) through an interactive art lesson that quickly engaged the students. His secret for creating remarkable art is to color outside the lines, and this concept was enthusiastically embraced by and resonated with the students of the ECF Kayne Eras School.

“We’re proud to support the Exceptional Children’s Foundation,” said Hilarie Murad, President of the Murad Family Foundation, “The ECF is an amazing organization that really shares our passion for encouraging people to lead healthier, happier, and more connected lives.”

Based in El Segundo, California, the Murad Family Foundation supports philanthropic projects that promote Inclusive Health in education and action to help young people lead healthier, happier, and more connected lives.
