Swell Crate Launches First Subscription Box Service for Surfers

Brooklyn, NY, February 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- There’s a new way for surfers to get essentials like wax, sunscreen and other surf products. Swell Crate (www.swellcrate.com) has just launched a seasonal subscription service that delivers quality products to surfers’ doors.

“We test and endorse each product that makes it into the crate,” said founder John Peabody. “So we’re not sending poorly made products to people.” The curated selection also includes other products that will appeal to surfers as well.

In the “spring crate,” Swell Crate will deliver products from East Surf Co, Bombas Socks, Bricks Bars, Izola and Wax Pickle Remover. The shipment is designed to get a surfer’s board ready for spring.

Swell Crate will ship four times a year (spring, summer, winter fall) and the contents of each box will be designed to match the season. Wax is picked based on the subscriber’s location. Customers can choose from a season-to-season plan which costs $44 per box, or they can pay for a full year subscription for $160. Gift subscriptions are also available. At this point shipping is limited to U.S. only.

“Our goal is to create a service that serves surfers by introducing them to great products they didn’t know about and also helps brands trying to reach this niche customer base,” says Peabody.
