Gordon Miles Elected to Golden Rainbow Board of Directors

President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada and Arizona franchises lends expertise to non-profit.

Las Vegas, NV, February 25, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Gordon Miles, president of Americana Holdings which includes Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices franchises in Nevada and Arizona, has been named a director of the non-profit Golden Rainbow. Golden Rainbow provides housing, financial assistance and education to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada.

“Gordon’s participation on our Board is another example of the community commitment demonstrated by Berkshire Hathaway,” said Scott Emerson, second vice president of Golden Rainbow and CEO of the American Red Cross Nevada Region. “His expertise and community connections will support our mission to meet the need for housing and other services for those affected by HIV/AIDS. His dedicated efforts are an inspiration for others in our community.”

In addition to Miles, Golden Rainbow’s current board of directors includes: president Drew Zidzik of Nevada State Bank, first vice president Pietra Sardelli of the Springs Preserve, Emerson, immediate past president Julio Jimenez of Ticor Title of Nevada, secretary Cheryl Bella of YMCA of Southern Nevada and directors Dana Oswalt of Benson & Bingham, Christina Cazares of E.ON Climate & Renewables and Jim Villela of Lamar Outdoor Advertising.

In his role as president of Americana Holdings, Miles is responsible for the business operations of both Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Arizona properties including recruiting, retention and technical support for 2,000 real estate sales executives and nearly 200 staff members in 20 offices throughout Nevada and Arizona. He has been instrumental in the company’s growth and leads its acquisition and mergers team. Since he joined the company in 2007, the franchise has grown to become Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ third largest franchise in North America with $2.7 billion in annual sales in 2013.

Throughout his 25-year career, Miles has earned a stellar reputation as a top producing agent and broker, specializing in both the high-end and mid-level marketplaces. He has worked in the West’s top resort destinations including Reno, Tahoe, Sedona, Palm Springs and Las Vegas. He has worked with some of the country’s wealthiest elite to sell everything from condominiums to $60 million estates.

In his role on the board of Golden Rainbow, Miles will assist in building Golden Rainbow’s Permanent Housing Program, one of the only housing programs designed specifically for people living with HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada. He will also work with the organization’s education and assistance programs, fundraising efforts and annual “Ribbon of Life” benefit event.
