Blue Donkey Coffee Campaigns for Permanent Store Location at Emory University

Blue Donkey Coffee, an Atlanta-based craft coffee company, is campaigning with Emory University students to earn a permanent store location on Emory's campus. Currently, Blue Donkey Coffee is available on Tuesdays at the Emory Farmers Market, but the company has received hundreds of student requests to be available seven days a week on campus.

Atlanta, GA, March 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Blue Donkey Coffee has partnered with Emory fraternity Phi Sigma Pi to start a campaign for students to voice their opinion. To date, the "Support Local" campaign has garnered more than 400 signatures from Emory students and faculty.

"We believe Blue Donkey Coffee and Emory University will have a great partnership as both organizations are deeply rooted in sustainability and have a commitment to forming long-lasting relationships with local vendors," says Ed Lane, co-founder of Blue Donkey Coffee.

As part of its Sustainability Initiative, Emory University has set a goal of having 75 percent local or sustainable food in its hospitals and cafeterias this year. Emory also has a Food Advisory Committee, a student-led organization that allows Emory students and staff to collaborate on dining options.
