St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center Presents 17th Annual Morning Glory Brunch

The annual garden party, presented by Sycuan Casino, will be held April 11, 2015.

San Diego, CA, March 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center welcomes the public to enjoy its 17th Annual Morning Glory Brunch, complete with delicious food, family fun, entertainment and more. The popular brunch will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on the St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center campus at 2119 E. Madison Avenue in El Cajon.

St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center and Honorary Chair Laurie McGrath will host the Brunch featuring more than 20 food and beverage stations, including a beer brewing and chef demonstration by Great News! Cookware & Cooking School.

An exciting new feature of this year’s Morning Glory Brunch is an unveiling of the center’s new aquaponics system.

Live music and entertainment will be provided by The Heroes, Jason Weber, Sharon DuBois and Joey Carano. Jasmine Creek Florist will present a special Arts Alive exhibit.

Guests will have the opportunity to shop in the silent auction and at participating boutique vendors, including: FIL FOU, Glamour Girlz, M Boutique, Premier Designs Jewelry, SaLing Jewelry and Tanager.

Another iconic element of the Morning Glory Brunch includes the 10th annual frog race (one frog for $100, three frogs for $150). Frog race competitors have the opportunity to win $15,000 in cash in celebration of the 15th anniversary of Sophie’s Gallery.

Tickets purchased support St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center, the nonprofit organization serving adults with developmental disabilities. The center will utilize the funds raised for its two-acre organic garden and its junior-sized Olympic aquatics center. Adult tickets are available for $75 a person or a couple’s package is offered for $200 (includes two admission tickets and two frogs). Tickets for children seven to 12 years will be sold for $25, and all children six years old and younger are invited to attend at no cost.
