New Orleans, LA, March 12, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- RYDE, an innovative crowdsourcing transportation service, has teamed up with the Zurich Classic of New Orleans to provide an affordable and efficient transportation solution for tournament attendees. RYDE’s luxury motorcoaches will shuttle in fans from outlying areas to the Zurich Classic; fans will be able to reserve seats on RYDE’s website for a roundtrip shuttle and enjoy the golf, food, and drinks while avoiding traffic and parking hassles often associated with such large-scale events. The RYDE website will also offer a package deal including the RYDE and tickets to the Zurich Classic.
“RYDE is changing the profile of ridesharing to a broader scale, providing a safe, convenient, and affordable transportation alternative. We’re thrilled to partner with the Zurich Classic to help people overcome hurdles to what is really a fun day of golf with fabulous food and drink,” said Brian Allman, CEO of RYDE. “We want to help the Zurich Classic team extend the fan experience outside the confines of the event, and to create a rolling social gathering that enables fans to have a great spectator experience.”
“The Fore!Kids Foundation has continued to raise awareness and money for children’s charities through the Zurich Classic,” stated Chris Kenyon, Vice President of Marketing for the Fore!Kids Foundation. “Partnering with RYDE enables us to increase our reach into neighboring communities by providing a fun and easy solution for tournament attendees to get to the event. We know once they get here they’ll love the hospitality venues like the Champions Club and Acme Oyster House, and it’s nice to have the designated driver to return home.”
RYDE will shuttle fans from cities within a few hours of TPC Louisiana in Avondale, and deliver them directly to the tournament gates. The RYDE will leave TPC at 5:30pm to return fans to their embarking location. The motorcoach rides are usually nonstop, though occasionally one stop on the same route will be combined to ensure a full RYDE and maximize the environmental benefits.
