National Association of the Remodeling Industry Issues Statement Correcting Reuters Article

Des Plaines, IL, March 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) today provided a statement of correction related to an article issued by Reuters on March 13. The article incorrectly reported that the Association advised its members to avoid Lumber Liquidators or other flooring manufacturers that do not meet their sourcing requirements.

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry's CEO, Fred Ulreich, provided the following statement pertaining to this report:

"Contrary to this report, The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) did not provide a statement that its members should avoid working with Lumber Liquidators Holdings, Inc. or any other vendors that do not meet their sourcing requirements. The National Association of the Remodeling Industry is concerned about any products that might pose health and environmental risks to the industry and the public, in general. We do not direct our members about specific vendors to use for purchasing decisions. NARI remodelers are experienced, ethical and dependable business owners who obtain the proper permits, carry the proper insurances, and follow all local, state and federal codes to renovate homes."
