Swansea, MA, March 31, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Total Fitness Clubs (TFC), is pleased to announce the success of their 2015 Winter Coat Drive. Over 400 coats were collected for the organization One Warm Coat and dispersed to four area non-profits.
TFC kicked off the Coat Drive at all four club locations on January 1-31st. The goal of the coat drive was to provide warm winter coats for people in our community who could not afford them.
“We were looking for a special way to contribute back to the community and celebrate the holiday spirit of giving – these paired with the bitter cold, naturally led us to the idea of a coat drive that would provide much-needed winter clothing to area residents in need,” said Mark Garganta, Manager of Operations, Total Fitness Clubs. “We’d like to thank and recognize the overwhelming generosity of employees, members and many area businesses for their coat donations.”
The Four area non-profit groups were given the coats to disperse were:
Bristol Total Fitness donated coats to the East Bay Community Action Program.
Swansea Total Fitness donated coats to Big Brother/Big Sister of Massachusetts.
Seekonk Total Fitness donated coats to Diocese of Providence Office of Community Services and Catholic Charities.
Dartmouth Total Fitness donated coats to Ferry Street Ministries, Fall River.
