London, United Kingdom, March 30, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Today former Commonwealth gold medalist and Chief Executive of UK Athletics David Moorcroft OBE announces the launch of Walk Britain, an eight week initiative to get Britain’s workforce moving. The initiative is run with leading corporate wellness provider iGlobalWellness and together they hope to deliver a comprehensive health and wellbeing programme to the whole of UK.
Nowadays almost every employer in the UK understands the importance of their employees’ health and wellbeing. The one thing that prevents many organisations from taking part is the cost. That’s why WalkBritain was invented: to make corporate wellness accessible to organisations of any size, regardless of budget.
For eight weeks in May-June 2015 thousands of employees from across all sectors of the economy will compete to walk further than anyone else. For just £5 participants will each receive a pedometer and a unique online profile where they can track their steps, keep an eye on their calorie burn, and check out the distances their covering.
The aim for each employee will be to achieve the 10,000 steps landmark every day, but a real time leaderboard will also show them how their activity level compares to the rest of the country. And they’ll be able to take part in fun activity challenges competing against their colleagues and getting their families involved.
Do you think the winner might work in your organisation? The challenge is open to organisations of all sizes, shapes and sectors so whether you’re a multinational manufacturing company, a local council or an independent bookstore you can show your employees how much you value them.
Walk Britain puts your employees’ wellbeing at the centre of your organization for a price you can afford. Sign up to reserve your place in Walk Britain by emailing iGlobalWellness at:
