Elena Buchkovskaya Volunteers at Animal Shelters

The famous interior designer in New York City opens up about her love for animals. Elena Buchkovskaya frequently volunteers at the ARF Animal Shelter in the Long Island (Wainscott, Hamptons) area and encourages her loved ones to do the same.

New York, NY, April 01, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Elena Buchkovskaya has always been passionate about helping those around her, and every day, she strives to give a unique interior design experience through honest, professional and open communication with her clients. As she traveled around the world, to find new inspiration for her interior design business, Elena Buchkovskaya noticed many stranded animals roaming around the streets.

This changed Elena’s perspective on animal rights and the current animal issues in the world, and she’s been volunteering at the ARF animal shelter ever since. Her goal is to give animals a human, loving presence.

“Animals, especially dogs, need to be constantly cared for in order to promote a good behavior. If they have a human presence near them, one that feeds them, walks them, and pets them, they will be happier, even when they’re in an animal shelter,” says Elena Buchkovskaya.

When Elena is taking a dog for a walk, she makes sure that each animal in the shelter feels at home with her. Elena Buchkovskaya trains them, to promote a healthy human-dog relationship for when the dog will meet his new owner.

Being a volunteer at the animal shelter has helped Elena see many things differently in her life, both personal and professional. Being with animals has helped her become more calm and centered, which in turn has helped promote her business in New York City more effectively.
