National Guard Spouse Employment Symposium Scheduled
MSCCN and National Guard Bureau join forces to highlight military spouse employment concerns.
Lake St. Louis, MO, April 03, 2015 --(PR.com)-- A free National Guard Spouse Employment Symposium presented by the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN) and the National Guard Bureau is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) Hall of States in Washington, D.C.
The event offers an opportunity for National Guard spouses to discuss the unique employment challenges they face.
“We are truly honored to partner with the National Guard Bureau to support our National Guard spouses,” said Erin Voirol, Executive Director, CASY-MSCCN. “Our goal is to discuss issues and find solutions that expand the employment opportunities for our military, veterans, and military spouses; to help these men and women start and maintain fulfilling careers during their many transitions.”
The symposium will feature keynote speaker, Deb Kloeppel, MSCCN and Corporate America Supports You (CASY) founder and president, and Guest speaker, Dr. Ingrid Herrera-Yee, 2014 National Guard Military Spouse of the Year and Military Spouse Behavioral Health Clinicians (MSBHC) founder.
Highlights will include a spouse and employer panel for questions and answers, guest speakers, and interactive exercises designed to give National Guard spouses a boost to their employment search. Attendees will receive a light breakfast and lunch.
