RE/MAX Northern Illinois Honors Leaders of Offices in Arlington Heights, Chicago, Lisle, Oak Lawn and Palos Park

Chicago, IL, April 04, 2015 --( The RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network presented four awards for excellence in management and also honored a top administrative professional at its annual awards dinner, held this year on Feb. 20.

Gary Jacklin of RE/MAX Action in Lisle, Ill., was named Broker/Owner of the Year, Single Office. In 2014, his office grew to become the largest office in the RE/MAX Northern Illinois network, with 107 agents. That achievement grew from years of effort. Jacklin joined RE/MAX in 1993 and acquired the Lisle office in 1997. In presenting the award, the regional leadership lauded Jacklin’s “genius for technology and marketing,” which has made his office a “magnet for agents with technological savvy.”

Honored as Broker/Owner of the Year, Multi-Office, was Laki Hatzelis, of RE/MAX 10, with offices on the Southwest Side of Chicago and in Oak Lawn and Palos Park, Ill. Hatzelis acquired RE/MAX 10 from its owner and founder and guided the organization successfully through the resulting transition. He was cited for his ability to retain the existing staff of agents and attract new recruits, while maintaining the strong market share that RE/MAX 10 has long enjoyed.

Joining Hatzelis as an honoree for outstanding management was his mother, Val Hatzelis, who has served as manager of all three RE/MAX 10 offices since 2007. This was the second year in a row she received the award as Manager of the Year, Multi-Office, and she was particularly recognized for success in recruiting, training and retaining agents.

The award for Manager of the Year, Single Office, went to Cyndy Hass of RE/MAX Suburban, Arlington Heights, Ill. Hass has been a RE/MAX agent for more than two decades but was named manager of the office only last year. However, Hass made an immediate impact, updating office technology, systems and support, improved communications with all brokers and implemented new initiatives to enhance productivity.

“After being an agent for so many years, my top objective as a manager was to create an office environment that fully supported our brokers,” Hass said.

The award honoring the Administrative Professional of the Year was presented to Crystal Lessner, who supervises the administrative staff in all six RE/MAX Unlimited Northwest offices. Those offices are in Algonquin, Bartlett, Crystal Lake, Huntley, Lake Zurich and Palatine, Ill.

Lessner was lauded for her professionalism and creativity, leadership in charitable activities and the key role she has played in helping RE/MAX Unlimited Northwest seamlessly add new offices to its operations.
